You will be a key player in supporting mission-critical financial operations, translating business needs into robust, scalable, and reliable technical solutions across Unix/Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Develop: Create high-quality, efficient Unix-based applications, automated scripts, and system solutions for banking operations, risk management, or other financial domains.
- Build & Implement: Write clean, maintainable shell scripts and database solutions using Oracle SQL/PLSQL and modern development practices.
- Collaborate: Work closely with risk analysts, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Optimize & Monitor: Conduct system performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning to ensure optimal system operation.
- Integrate & Support: Integrate Unix systems with core banking applications, databases, and provide production support for critical systems.
- Troubleshoot: Resolve performance issues, bugs, and system discrepancies to maintain system reliability.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience in Unix/Linux system development and administration.
- L1: 1 – <3 Years experience
- L2: 3 – <5 Years experience
- L3: 5 – <7 Years experience
- L4: 7 – <10 Years experience
- L5: >10 Years experience
- Strong proficiency with shell scripting (e.g., bash, ksh, perl, python).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle database technologies and SQL/PLSQL
- Knowledge of system administration, performance tuning, and automation processes.
- Solid experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and SDLC processes.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in banking or financial systems (e.g., Credit Risk, Market Risk, Large Exposure).
- Knowledge of multiple database systems (DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL) beyond Oracle.
- Experience with various Unix/Linux distributions (e.g., AIX, Solaris, Red Hat, Ubuntu).
