About the Role:
Are you a meticulous Manual QA Tester with a passion for ensuring quality in financial technology systems? We are looking for detail-oriented professionals to join our team in testing critical banking applications. You will play a vital role in validating user experiences, business workflows, and ensuring the stability and compliance of systems through comprehensive manual testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Execution: Design, document, and execute detailed manual test cases based on functional specifications and user requirements for banking applications (internet banking, payments, loans, mobile apps).
Collaborate: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements, review test cases, and ensure proper test coverage.
Defect Management:
Log, track, and manage software defects using test management tools like JIRA or HP ALM, and collaborate with the development team to ensure resolution.User-Centric Testing:
Verify UI/UX consistency, validate transaction flows, and ensure security compliance and localization accuracy from the end-user’s perspective.Regression & UAT Support:
Conduct regression testing for new releases and production fixes. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with test planning, execution, and documentation.Reviews & Walkthroughs:
Participate in test walkthroughs, sign-offs, and reviews to ensure alignment between business goals and QA activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in automation testing:
- L1: 1 – <3 Years experience
- L2: 3 – <5 years experience
- L3: 5 – <7 years experience
- L4: 7 – <10 years experience
- L5: >10 years experience
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and the defect lifecycle
Hands-on experience testing banking systems (e.g., core banking, payments, mobile apps)
Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail)
Solid understanding of SDLC or Agile methodologies
Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and communication skills
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of SQL and database concepts (e.g., Oracle, MySQL)
Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
Familiarity with Unix-based environments and middleware (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere)
Experience leading UAT cycles
